Emily Nash Wins Boys’ Tourney to be Denied Boys’ Trophy
Youth golf in Massachusetts has sparked interesting conversations across the country. Emily Nash, a 16-year-old at Lunenburg High School (Lunenburg, MA), flexed her girl power and won a boy’s golf tournament -- by four strokes. Not only is she disqualified from advancing to the state tourney because of her gender, her well-earned trophy was awarded the the runner-up. Non-contact sports provide a great lab to explore co-ed competition. Results from that could change the future of these respective sports. Who do you got one on one...Serena Williams or Roger Federer?
